Krishi

Hospitality

The Challenge

Krishi needed to celebrate the culinary traditions of Malenadu without becoming trapped in a purely traditional visual language. The identity needed to feel authentic to the region while remaining distinctive and relevant beyond it.

The Insight

The strongest expression of Malenadu comes through its relationship with food, agriculture, and place. Those connections could be translated into the identity without relying on literal regional decoration.

The Strategic Decision

We built the brand around regional authenticity with a contemporary expression, using familiar symbols in a more considered way.

The Identity

A golden plate, the letter K, and a stylised rice crop come together in the central symbol. A bespoke typeface and a palette of greens, browns, and gold connect the identity to food, agriculture, and the region.

The Implementation

The identity was carried across signage, menus, packaging, uniforms, and digital communications. The symbol and supporting visual language give the brand a consistent presence across the restaurant environment, while the palette and typography connect the physical dining experience to the story behind the cuisine.

The Outcome

Krishi has an identity that carries the character of Malenadu while remaining contemporary and recognisable, giving the restaurant a stronger expression of place without relying on nostalgia. The result makes regional heritage feel like part of the restaurant's present-day experience.
